She is founder of "Mittelmeerland" an initiative dealing with the urban transformation in the Mediterranean territory. Medine is based in Zurich with her architecture office.

"In my work I aim for contextual and poetic architecture. As a person with diverse cultural background, I search for architectural tasks that deal with cultural, demographic, economic and political transformation in society. I believe that living in a city is a cultural and social practice and that every individual contributes to the urban production. In architectural design the knowledge about different cultures and climates is more than ever important. Therefore, in academic work I aim for comparative study of cities and regions as a tool to gain this knowledge."
