Medine studied architecture at the Architectural Association in London and graduated in 2000. 

Medine has been teaching Architectural Design Studios at ETH Zurich in 2005-10, as programme director of the Mittelmeerland Visiting Schools at the AA London in 2011-15 and as Visiting Professor at Bilgi Uni Istanbul in 2016-17.

She is founder of, an initiative and academic plattform dealing with the urban transformation in the Mediterranean territory. .
